The Kansas State Capitol is located on a 20-acre tract in downtown Topeka. Its distinctive green copper dome with Ad Astra statue is a prominent feature of the city skyline. Not only is the Kansas State Capitol the seat of our state's government, it is one of the most majestically beautiful buildings you'll tour in the Sunflower State. The Capitol took 37 years to complete and is currently undergoing extensive renovation, but you can already enjoy newly restored rooms and features. During your visit, you'll see:
- Restored Representative Hall and Senate Chamber - Former Supreme Court chamber - Governor's ceremonial office - John Steuart Curry murals - Capitol Store (with Kansas and Capitol treasures)
