Buffalo Dunes Golf Course, ranked as the No. 1 municipally-owned golf course in Kansas by Golf Digest magazine. It has been recognized by Golf Magazine and Travel & Leisure Magazine as places to play and best bangs for the buck.
Opened in 1976 on land donated by E.C. Brookover Sr., Buffalo Dunes is one of the host courses to the prestigious Southwest Kansas Pro-Am every August. Among the golfing greats who have walked the fairways of the Dunes are U.S. Open champions Steve Jones and Lee Janzen, British Open champions Tom Weiskopf and Stewart Cink.
