The Brew Top has been locally owned and operated for almost a decade. They’ve got two locations, one in Kansas City and another in Overland Park, each with a fantastic happy hour. Check out their website for a list of upcoming special events and to sign up for their rewards program.

The Legendary Boobie Trap Bar prides itself on being the go-to bar spot for live music in Topeka, Kansas. They’ve got events going on almost every night of the week, ranging from game nights to karaoke and, of course, live music.
Wayne and Larry’s Sports Bar and Grill offers all of the delights of a local pub without any frills. They’re not concerned with the bells and whistles other spots might have, choosing instead to focus on a familial atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks, and sports. Kirby’s Beer Store is unique. And if you’ve never been, Kirby’s is a soon-to-be-favorite. Since 1972, they’ve hosted live bands in their living room-esque space while slinging beers to patrons. Check their site to see which local talent is scheduled to appear tonight.

Knub’s Pub in Shawnee, Kansas is a restaurant and pub with live music on Friday and Saturday’s. According to their website, they have “one of the best beer selections in Shawnee,” compiled of draft, bottles, and cans. Come in Saturday to take advantage of their drink specials.
Wallaby’s Grill and Pub is a friendly spot. They’ve been serving delicious food and affordable drinks since 2004. Sit at the bar, take advantage of their outdoor patio, or order to go.
Whereas most neighborhood bars have a modest food offering, usually made up of burgers and wings, the Scheme Restaurant and Bar bucks’ tradition in favor or mouthwatering, homemade pizza. The atmosphere is casual yet refined. You’ll feel like you’ve popped into a pub off a Roman street.
